Home Sweet Home - The Unbiological Family (with love that has no bounds)
Its good to be home..... I have never felt more in place in my life than when I walked in through the doors of NewHomeFreeLand. The sense of belonging and true friendship is overwhelming and in the most positive ways too. Yesterday had to have been one of the best days of my life, which naturally led into a very enjoyable today! I woke up feeling extremely nostalgic, ate breakfast with my parents as they packed me a lunch - it was so cute and lovingly made too, cream cheese and smoked salmon sandwich with small ziplocs filled with artichokes and olives, a small bag of pretzels, a Caesar (with the celery!), a Corona, a thermos of chocolate milk and vodka, Italian cookies and candied ginger! I said my goodbyes to the Bowens, gave early birthday wishes and off we drove to New Liskerd for the next hour. I enjoyed the last moments of hilarity with my parents as I stared out the window soaking up every last inch of landscape, half hoping to permanently ingrain the images in my eyes. The train that I was supposed to take ended up hitting a car that was trying to beat the train across the tracks, so all northbound trains of North Bay were canceled. I ended up having to take a greyhound to the North Bay train station to catch the train there. The bus eventually left New Liskerd about after 45 minutes of waiting. My mom, in her true fashion, harped and worried away as I gave her a kiss and a hug that I new was not enough for her. They gave me same cards that they have been for the last three year - boo bees... hahah, sorry inside joke - see! I do get along with my parents.... I think we just enjoy bickering with each other - as strange kind of love if you ask me, but it works for the three of us. ANYWAY ->This little blip in the human transport world back logged everything and upon arriving in North Bay I found out that the train would not be arriving for another two hours..... I was contemplating pushing all of my crap into a locker and head to the mall, but I wasn't going to chance missing the train. So I read and ate lunch and wrote in my journal and played solitare.... it was a very boring 2 hours. The train immediately left after we all got on, I felt like cattle being herded into a storage container, however once I found my seat a the back of the car it was HELLA reassuring to see how much space I had. I didn't even put my bags in the overhead compartment and used them to make a bed for legs to be propped up on. It was a really effing long time until we hit even the outskirts of Gravenhurst. First we had to deal with a disgruntled passenger who didn't pay for a ticket and was trying to scam his way south. We had to take a detour to get to a station after North Bay (which ended up being South River ????? who the hell knows where that is?!) to kick him off - HAH. Then we had to wait for trains to pass us on the tracks, but in the mean time there were rainbows to stare off dreamily. Well anyway to fast forward this story upon reaching Downsview I grabbed a cab to Keele and Finch. Had a really nice conversation with the driver about the area my cottage was in and about the explosion (WTF!!??). I dragged my bags into the boys house after a collective 13 hours in a vehicle of sorts to be greeted by a HouseKeeping Aitch blaring the playlist for today's dance party. We smoked and walked out the door at about 11:30pm to get to Cool Man Cool for Craig's and Zac's birthday party. Upon arrival, in the most obnoxious of ways blarred that I was present. Wow, I have the most awesomest (and yes, that's a word) friends in the world. I received a sandwich - LOVEHUGSANDWICH:
To describe it:
There is a certain feeling that you are sure about when you are surrounded with the people who make you the happiest. You can only get this feeling from the people who, even though you may not want to, make you smile. They also make you so mad you want to rip your eyeballs out - but you love how they can do that to you. You get a sense of the warm fuzzies on the inside of your stomach by their sheer presence and your brain tingles in the delight of silly banter. Your ears hear the perfectly orchestrated background music, and everything plays out as if it were scripted by the most brilliant screenwriters. Its grounding, its solid, its motivating, its confidence boosting and its the closest thing to pure happiness. It was good to be home.
I did a drunken midnight countdown to my birthday and proceeded to get sloshed... it felt great. I really wanted to hear the sound of glass breaking, but I'm sure my voice finally breaking the strange silence my absence created was obnoxious and annoying enough. I was ON FIRE! I was going ALL THE WAY.... way to go SLaw.....
I doubled up on Aitch's bike with Travis, hugged him home as I blabbed on about silly incoherent things and kicking a coffee table never felt so gratifying before. My throat still hurts from screaming for no reason. It was the best beginnings to a birthday I have ever experienced and the bar was already pretty high with Holly's genius behind my surprise party.
Hmmmm, well, party things await my attention.
Hope to see you all there, this Queen Bee is going to party her face off tonight!
LOVE!

I've never actually been this excited for a party before... Like, even if you remove the fact that its for my birthday - its pretty fucking exciting. This is the first time that I have ever planned a party for me, let alone host one. I'm truly shocked at the response to it, I can't wait to be dancing my face off. I just hope that everyone follows the rules and nothing crazy happens, like cops or fights. That is like a true bday wish on my part. For everything to go as I am imagining it right now. Okay enough talking about that because it will just jinx the good vibe that is rolling between the houses.
Thanks to everyone for the many birthday wishes and heart felt hugs - my friends are fucking awesome.
Cheers,
Steph
aka - all the way (and I plan on it!)

SKINS SECRET PARTY
You need to watch this or else you are a loser - JUST saying.
HOLY FUCK its been a while!
SO YEAH.....
We've been away for a while. But we're back and badder than ever!!
We have to update you on soooo much stuff. But in true RVL style - we're too lazy or have forgotten already due to increased drug usage....
Briefly:
Winters Formal was bomb-shit bomb
Exams were fuckin' sucky
26LA had a beach party!
Crystal Castles came to CiRCA and Flu ran away... er got lost... in Markham
Shera and Travis celebrated bdays at CiRCA trying to listen to Matthew Dear and Travis broke his face
Travis went tree planting :(
Andrew became the asian Travis
420 picnic on the beach was swwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeet
Adam moved in as our sublet :)
YLC happened and so did my new drunk name: All The Way
Chanti turned 20 - AND DRANK!
We went to the Fox alot - that's when all still lots of money......
Rigoo became less of a man - Boxing Day Kitty?
May 24 weekend showed us how much of alcoholics we really are and cleared the cabinets of booze by playing way to much (hah - no such thing) Fire Crotch - at 2pm we were wasted, empty handed but still THIRSTY
Mario Kart for the Wii arrived and we didn't leave the house
Lindsey, Brett and Chris, plus Cool Man Cool came for a BBQ
I danced and twirled in crazy Turkic costumes
I stripped down to a gold lame body suit at Cool Man Cool Mansion during the Non-Party Party and the term "egg in a bowl" was born after Andrew's 'friend' in Josh's washroom
People convocated - we got drunk.... go figure
Derek threw a going away kegger at Cool Man Cool after his stained glass show (Friday the 13th - what an awful fucking day.... well, not for most, but for me at least - can I just say ALL 5 guys???? OMG)
Beach Party Kegger at RVL! The landlord's daugher came, eek, but I think that is what saved us!
Meg had a Tail Shakin' bday at Clinton's
PRIDE PARADE!
Armourtime went home for his bday :(
Salty Pete went to Levack Block for her bday :)
I almost burnt the house down with taters... Alex threw up on her driveway... Our moms met
York Facilities and Grounds BBQ at Cool Man Cool
Deanna moved out :(
Flu got a gold bike, Andrew got a gold Steph Law
more Fox-ing
Travis came home! :)
Tankhouse moved in and "Planet Dick" was created (go eat a bag of dicks...)
And there you have it!!!
Yay, all caught up.... now leave me alone, my vodka/Coke is beckoning me!
SLAW!!!

Congratulations to Two Foot Falls!
Our good JewFro wearing, drum playing, movie quoting man Brandon Robbins has some good news! His band was scouted by the Producer of Pilot and the Mixer for Silverchair!
Congrats B-Man!
You need to hear the story though, it's a doozie.

FREAKIN' SNOW FORT!!??!! (uhhh, its called a quincy...)
LET'S GO PLAY OUTSIDE IN THE SNOW!!!!!!!

ps. RVL: stands for Romfield Victory Lapse incase some of you were wondering.
Welcome to the NewHomeFreeLand Guest Suite: That's right folks! We are fuckin' snow engineers!!! I haven't played in the snow like that since the winters of Grade 8! I've never felt so productive or accomplished about anything in a really long time. If only I could channel that energy towards my homework then I'd be in good shape! I'm going to head to the bank to get a Temp. card 'cause I'm an idiot and lost my debit card, then to Dollar Rama to buy some furnishings for our Quincy... or however you spell it....
It fits 6 people max. inside and its over 6 feet tall on the outside. (Hotboxes like a dream!) We all demonstrated some awesome team work and initiative... way too much fun.
The only thing I have to work on is putting my sleep schedule back in order....
YAY! Let's play in the snow!!
OH, and here is the next RVL strip (think Icanhascheezburger):

RVL Comic #2: Robo-Aitch
So I really hope our tall guy finds his iPod, it was fun to watch him get ready for work yesterday. Mind you the haziness of the room probably helped a lot. I didn't think two very plump tuna sandwhiches would fit in on Ziplock bag - but they did.Anyway, off to campus to save the world (and by world I mean Winters) from all its troubles (and by troubles I mean... yeah, er....its troubles....).
Cheers,
StephLaw

RVL Comic #1
So I've decided not only to take crappy little photos from my cell as ways to entertain you (to the left is The Weakerthans playing at Nathan Phillips Square for Toronto's Winter City - wicked show by my standards), but I thought that I'd also post some RVL Comics that I've started "painting"after reading like half of the Natalie Dee comics. This is one of the first comics:
click on it to make it larger.
Anway - here are some snippits from today's snowy day:

First one: it has snowed a crap ton today...you'd think there would be a point when there would just be no more snow...
Second one: GH just never stops around here *sigh*
Third one: The poopmaster himself, Sir Rigoo of Stinkanator... STOP PEEING ON THINGS!
So, I'm glad this is how I've decided to start off my reading week - WITH NOTHING!! :)
Cheers,
StephLaw
The Revival of the "Paint" Experience

I found her, yep I did... and I spent at least an hour and a half flipping through all the comics - they never get old, I love 'em!!!
Like this one:
Thanks to Natalie Dee for sparking my interest back into Paint drawings!Enjoy!

A Graveyard BBQ:
Bless these Children
Blessed he who BBQ's
Blessed he who giveth to thee
Alright folks, I want you to take a step back
I want you to dig deep in those pockets
I WANT YOU TO GIVE!!!
I am your father
I am your priest
Your only Messiah
To say the least
So donate and give, give generously
Give all you got, GIVE IT TO ME!
I run this place, the House of God
With your new God “GRILL”, your dreams fulfilled
If these walls could talk, the stories they’d tell
And if they did, I’d be in a whole lotta HELL!
So I’m close to the pope, ya know what that means
I can grab and grope and do as I please
Gone into confession, my gamblins in session
Now tell me your sins, 3 cherries I win! I
cheat on the church and embezzle with Greed
I cheat on the church and I take what I need
I cheat on the church and I do as I please
I cheat on the church, boy get down on your knees!

'Lil B is here!
So yesterday I went to meet a Friendly Stranger, and walked out with a ton of stuff including a new toy, my first of it's kind, which I named Iceburg at first, but soon realized that Iceburg is a lame ass name.. So it's 'Lil B now.
I would like to make sure that everyone who wishes a meeting with her, gets to meet her, as she loves meeting new people.
Tenants of Shit Haus,
You are all REQUIRED to make an appointment with her. She is plenty excited to meet you all.
Tenants of Newhomefreeland,
Some of you have met her, some of you need to meet her.
Come on over,
Peace N*ggas!

We're losers....
...uh, wait!!
No.
WE'RE GUITAR HEROES.
Some people question what we do with our time, but we say "why not?". Derek has graced us with another present. I think I'm in love and I don't think I'll be leaving the house any time soon...
GUITAR HERO 3 IS UPON US.
And the new addition to my iPod as soon as I get it back from Joel's will be Cheat on the Church. That way I can power walk it to campus and dance my fuckin' ass off in the shower. If I were a stripper that would be one of my picks - just for the Romfieldians!
Baby kitty might be playing with two ball less in his court soon - "watch the poop! WATCH THE POOP!!" - Finnighan's jealous days may almost be over via the vet, that is if Deanna doesn't chop them off first. Man, I've smelt some smelly shits in my day, but I don't think anything compares to this guy!! Maybe its the toilet bowl water (Nick's conclusions after discussing why he may be such a stink).
Oh, and my card to Lowercase is almost done! It reads like this:
Dear Lowercase h,
Thank you for being such a great hockey player, you got me pleasantly drunk.
Much love and cheers,
StephLaw
The reason for the "drunk" was for the sheer fact that our drinking-game-creating-genius travelled over to the Fox and the Fiddle with us to watch the OHL AllStar game ("there's blackies on the whities"...maybe I shouldn't publish that - nevermind, inside joke). Aitch's little brother was the star of our night as we watch and listened for his name all so we could drink to it! And if he scored a goal, we'd have to chug our drinks. Brilliant. (HODGMAN - drink!)
Oh and ontop of that, "face-crack" now has a commercial, so we have to beware of any TVs with cable that showcases Rogers unless we are in the mood for additional sips to our drinks.
So, we did indeed have another snowday. Classes were cancelled at 7pm tonight, not that it mattered for me 'cause I have no class on Wednesdays... but that also meant the Wildhawks game was cancelled. I hope that they do a make-up game for when I can make it to show full support for mah-boyz!
Well, it looks like we all spoke too soon when we said the snow has stopped. A plow just drove by................ yeah its terrible out there. Geez, I don't think I remember snow like this happening in ages, like when my friends used to use my sweet front yard as the ultimate snow play-place. Fingers crossed for another day in of Guitar Hero!!
Okay so maybe I'm the one loser around here.......

Would have left it as a comment but who reads those?
YES, we do need to play the All Canadian Downhill Beer Grabbing Challenge, the only problem with Christie Pits is that other people are going to be there and the game really doesn't work if everyone using the hill isn't participating. But I think I might know a place where we can go. The weather is supposed to be good on friday and saturday, I think saturday might be the better of the two because the temperature is supposed to rise a bit. If anyone has a preference or wants to come along just let me know.
-Gordo
Is that really my reputation?!?
Well, thank you to everyone who thought that the Craig's List Classified Posting was me...
I don't really know what to think! But all I can really do is just laugh.... (I guess - you jerks... hahah you're lucky I love you all!)
Well, since I'm really the only one who still cares to post on this thing, what can I say to entertain the masses? I'll give you an update:
Reading week is soon, thank god... and HERE HERE to our current University President for giving us a snowday on Friday - what a nice unexpected long weekend. However, it sucked as well because I didn't get to see the Clown Show - booooourns. I really enjoyed calling my parents and friends and yelling "HAPPY FUCKIN' SNOWDAY!!!!" into the receiver. Snowball fights to be continued hopefully sometime soon at the Christie Pits. Gordo - we need to play your 2-4 toboganning game.
Salsbury came and visited the ShitHaus last Thursday with his Wii. No MessyStephLaw this time. Although it could have gotten messy with the lazer air hockey game - and those jumping cows!!
Saturday was one of the last nights of the festivities at Nathan Phillips Square for WinterCity. There was an amazing Alice and Wonderland show on stilts, a fire show and the WEAKERTHANS!!! I unfortunately didn't enjoy their encore. Not because it was bad, it was amazing, but because I was so concentrated on finding the quickest way out for a pee! I ran as fast as I could to the Eaton Centre and barely was able to pull my leggings down... man, when holding on to pee for that long and then finally being able to go is the BEST feeling in the world... well, second to orgasms, haha.
Then there was the cast party for the Clown Show at the "Thirsty Penguin" (FKA the Blade) which was good times but never seizes to amaze me with all the bullshit drama people make for themselves... what happened to forgetting about your worries and partying your face off?? COMON' GET SHMAMMERED PEOPLE! Oh, I guess that is a House Manager inside-joke - but still - let's party ("oh oh, and all of that has to go on a pot leaf!! Oh and don't forget the cross, because I'm really religious.")
Sunday was the SuperBowl, the only day the Absinthe is open on a Sunday. The Blackouts were great to yell out your frustrations.... hahaha. And no one won the TV - Rudd was close!!
Monday - we continued to go to the Fox as Heroes is still not on the TV - Family Night had been replaced by Drunk and Beligerant Night.
I have found an alternative FreeBird (I know you all love it so much - but please, let's not play the shit out of it so I can still enjoy it when it comes on the radio) - well at least for me anyway. Its not as long and quite a challenge of your skills on the GH1 - "Cheat on the Church". I yet have to see Travis get past 21% on expert.
Well, we are on Wednesday currently. Its snowing again - big fluffy stuff. Let's hope the pathways at York and the sidewalks around here are not flooded anymore - I'm running out of dry socks. The Winters Wildhawks (our hockey team) have made it to the finals tonight. I don't know who they are playing, but the game starts at 9:15pm. Good luck boys, bring it home to Momma!!
This just in: In a phone call from our beloved Meg Maguire - JEFF FUCKIN' B is HOME!!! But I'm sure you all knew that already.
Okay okay, this is getting long and isn't that interesting... I think I hear some White Cheddar Mac and Cheese calling my name. Later all,
Cheers,
StephLaw

Later all,
Cheers,
StephLaw

This guy blows my mind...

Like, LOOK AT THIS:
Photography is one of the visual arts I wish I got into... Instead I take cheesy snapshots with my cell phone, especially after my digital camera got pick-pocketed on the TTC.
And speaking of pick-pockets, has anyone seen my iPod.... Okay, okay, I'm useless when it comes to remembering where I've dumped my belongings... but this time I really have no idea. I went out with Nick to the grocery store, then downtown and then rushed off to work, somewhere in the mix it is gone....
If I'm missing in the next few days it is because my family has slaughtered me for loosing another valuable item they have given me as a gift.... SHIZA!
Anyway, more cool drippy art here.
Cheers,
The SLaw

I'd like a second chance at my v-card please.
People are always asking me, "What did you do today Gord?"
Well, toDAY I slept.
But from 6pm to 8am I read web comic after web comic and watched a video tutorial on how to Irish jig, attempted to Irish jig and promptly stopped attempting.
But the night wasn't a total bust, thanks to web comics I found the most romantic V-card redemption EVER!
(I would have the comic here but you couldn't read the dang thing)

about 50 grapes
lychee
pickles
jalapeno havarti
sparkling grapefruit drink
Shera's omlette
candied ginger
pop corn
brie
lemon mousse cake
oxtail stew with rice
cabbage and ham
peach yogurt
So far its been a delicious day... as for the condition of my head, who knows, I feel permanently loopy.
The past few days have been the same 'ol, which is great, its the kind of routine that I could always get used to. Nick and I ventured to adventure at the Superstore early yesterday as the beginning of our productive day. We are master theives which lead to us having more money in pocket.... oh and salmon cream cheese on cracked pepper Triscuts is an amazing idea when waiting for your taxi.
Here are some more pictures from our adventures:

You'll recognize this light fixture if you know where cool is on campus.

Shera and my future rides... so pimp!!

Travis, is this where your family lives?
Stoner chips at the Hot Box Cafe, yay to vapourizers :)
Post cheese purchasing success, comon' brie for $5?! AMAZING!

My two fav. ladies with the devil in liquid form. Thank god we were in the confines of Joel's abode so that I didn't make an ass of myself too much!
Still have not put my laundry away....
That's right, that's what she said!

Hang over life savers, that's right, trust me on this one...
Cheers,
The Blaw
To you, super-cute guy that did not have sex with me
Oh, super-cute guy. I was so thrilled when you text messaged me yesterday asking what I was doing that evening. Even more thrilled that I managed to work myself free of every single obligation I had last night in order to make my lie of being available true.
However, due to a somewhat slutty stage I've been going through recently (I don't mean mega slutty...just a tiny bit slutty...I like sex, don't judge me) I wanted to make absolutely sure that I did not sleep with you last night. Why, you ask? Because I actually like you and I know that when you're a woman, sleeping with a guy on the first or second date is like putting out a contract hit on your potential relationship. Plus, it's kind of slutty and while I'm not immune to the occasional one night stand (see statement above), it's not something I like to do on a regular basis.
In any case, I informed you that I would call you later that night after I had dinner with my family (Ok, really I was at home watching the finale of America's Next Top Model, but you, super-cute guy and potential boyfriend could NOT know that). After "dinner" was over, I gave you a call and attempted to convince you to meet me somewhere. Much to my horror, you were not having it. You wanted to come over to my house. I entered panic mode.
Why? Several reasons. One being that my house was a cesspool of disease and filth. I've been really sick for the last few weeks and have had absolutely zero motivation to clean up after myself and as a result, my whole house reeks of Vicks and old pizza. Normally, I am a perfectly clean person but not these past two weeks. If you were anyone else, super-cute guy...I may not have cared, but you are too good for my illness ridden haven of disgust. This would not do.
Also, I knew that if you came over to my house there was very little chance I would not sleep with you. Don't judge me for this because you, super-cute guy are indeed super-cute. Not just in the looks department, but personality-wise as well. You stimulate me intellectually and make me laugh. You are charming in the best kind of way and unless we were in a public place, I was going to have a very hard time not ripping your clothes off.
However, when I realized that you were set in your decision I had to cave. After all, I had canceled a jam session with my band, babysitting for my brother, watching project runway with a carton of pistachio ice cream and a number of other equally important tasks just to hang out with you. I had also already done my makeup and hair and I'm not one to waste perfectly good foundation. So I told you, super-cute guy that you were welcome to come by. You said you would. Fortunately, you were FAR away and it was going to take you over an hour.
After hanging up with you, I flew around like a mad woman cleaning up kleenex, vicks vapor rub spilled on the coffee table, thousands of Dr. Pepper cans and wine glasses, pizza crusts and beer bottles. I then noticed that it looked like Saks 5th Ave. had vomited clothes all over my house. I even found clothes in the guest bathroom and the kitchen. I shoved all of them in my closet, febreezed the living crap out of everything and my house took on a much more respectable air. I still had 30 minutes or so, so I catapulted myself into the bathtub to shave my legs and erm....more intimate area. I hadn't done this before because I intended to meet you in a public place and NOT have sex with you, but I figured that my resolve was basically gone at this point so I might as well be hairless and smell nice. Especially since I knew I was never going to be graced with the presence of you, super-cute guy ever again.
When you arrived, you were adorable. You didn't even try to kiss me for two hours, but instead, you asked me questions about my job and my family. You showed me pictures of your gorgeous little boy. We talked about hunting. Told some innapropriate jokes. You told me what a good time you were having and that you liked me. In short, you were super-cute (as we have already established).
But as the night wore on, super-cute turned into super-sexy as you went in for the kill. I will admit: You have some good moves. Really good. I won't go into detail for obvious reasons, but just know that you had me in the palm of your hand. There was a point during our little make-out session where I really would have done absolutely anything you asked of me.
But what makes you really cute, super-cute guy is that you stopped at second base at basically told me that you would like to save some fun for next time.
*Sigh of relief*
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I didn't want to have sex with you...I REALLY did. But I know I would regret it right this second if we had, so I appreciate so much that you were nice enough to release me from your seductive hold of super-cuteness long enough for me to catch my breath and recalibrate.
I will say, however: I haven't been that turned on by anyone in a long time. If "Next time" isn't soon, I might end up hating you. Just saying.
Thanks again, super-cute guy. You get a second date gold star.
*EDIT*
To you, mildly-cute friend of super-cute guy: Do not be pissed off that I didn't go out with you. I truthfully have no idea how you ended up with my number the night I met you and your super-cute friend. I guess you couldn't tell that I only had eyes for him. I know that you have been text messaging me for almost a week asking me to hang out, and I may have accepted your offer had it ever been at a time well before one in the morning.
So please do not blame me from accepting a date from your super-cute friend (who you should totally take lessons from, by the way). He extended an invitation at about 4 in the afternoon as oppose to your middle of the freaking night. No offense (because you are indeed, mildly-cute), but any guy that text messages me at one a.m. to hang out is probably not one that I would consider dating.
Thanks for understanding :-)

Unmotivated to the MAX...
So, instead of what I should be doing... I'm learning how to use my new cell
phone.... so many more buttons than are necessary. What happened to cell phones just being that - make a call and that's it! Why the hell do I need an internet connection or even an mp3 player, isn't that why I spent money on a computer (and pay bills for the interwebs for that matter) and an iPod!!?? I clearly remember the days of having to wait to get home to make a phone call or always making sure I had a quarter handy to call for a ride home from the mall... hahaha, that makes me sound like I'm in my thirties. Okay, so I've just familiarized myself with the incredibly addicting text messaging (yeah I know, I lived a sheltered life with electronics - you can blame my parents for that) and checking voice-mail. Otherwise, I have to crack and read the manual before I break it and my dad breaks me. Like my last post said: Here-here to parents spoiling me now instead of when I was younger!!
Anyway, Nick and Shera entertained me with music from the internets and Katamari cakes. At least I accomplished what I plan to do before work tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'll be missing Tokyo Police Club at Nathan Phillips Square... but heck, its gonna be a frigid -3 degrees out and from what I experienced last night on the walk home, I think I'll pass and get some moneys instead (pants would have been a good idea).
I realize that I'm a bum, as I take pictures of what I have to do today
instead of actually doing them... heh, perhaps I still wish I lived in the Disney movie, Sleeping Beauty, where wands fixed all problems. But I'm seriously near the end of my underwear stash and bathing suits are not an option. I don't understand my lag today. If I slack anymore I could be in serious stress mode to catch up with all my responsibilities - but that's the joy of the StephLaw life... I just can't say no. Then I just get so damn tired that all I wanna do with my free time is relax my brain with absolutely nothing important. Meh, such as life, obviously I'm not worried about it enough to make these sort of life changes. Listen up kids, for pete's sake don't use me as a role model - do your homework and go to class!!
Anyway, here are more snip-its on what I've laid my eyes on today... (keep coming back for more in the future... I think I'll make this a regular thing to show you all the cool things we do, even when we do absolutely nothing at all!)
This is us trying to pretend the GH doesn't actually exist in our house... oh but its there... ITS THERE....
This happened in less than two weeks, some may say we have a drinking problem, we just call it self-medicating.
And there the DEVIL is in true form... right outside my freakin' window... sometimes if you listen carefully you can hear your name being called to come hither... I think that is why we play so much music all the time, not because we like (well there is that too) but it helps drown out the mesmerizing taunt.

Free Bird isn't just for Skynyrd's Innyrds anymore...
...and we don't even have to pay a buck to hear it either!!
By the graciousness of Derek (a Shoreham/Student-Ghetto resident), the Romfield Residents have found a new avenue of addictions... GUITAR HERO... yeah, it happened to us-the epidemic spreads yonder.... But fuck!!!! What a night last night was, especially for those who didn't actually go to sleep until half way through the following day! It was another display of good hangouts that's for damn sure.
I was painting in Vanier with Derek and mentioned that the previous night Shera and I, or mainly I, tried to drunkenly text him to bring GH to our house soon and he suggested that he could bring it over after work. Damn good idea! I called Shera as I waited for GoSafe (as there was another rape on campus - NOT in Vanier and I was out of bus tickets) and mentioned this to her also suggesting that we call dail-a-bottle for some beers. As I got home and the GH word got around, one ordered case turned into two. The disaster of my room called my attention until I heard the protests of Nick and Shera to the douche-bag of a delivery guy who tried to scam us for more of our hard-earned money... speaking of which I need to make more to feed this drinking career I have (Man, its an expensive profession to keep up - HAH!). Derek arrived from work at the ShitHaus empty handed and the looks around the table were in shock and awe and sheer disappointment (way to make a guy feel welcome - "dude, no Guitar Hero? Get outta mah-house!!"). I volunteered to trek out to the Ghetto with Derek as long as someone helped us out and paid for our fare. A little less than an hour later, we arrive and the house greeted us with RockStar cheers! Woooo, to be famous, or rather have an intriguing game in hand.... awwww....
Well, it didn't take long before the beginners all had a chance to rock out (with no cocks out) and the beers suddenly disappeared too fast, but a hell of a night anyway. Baby kitty doesn't think so though, he's actually petrified of the guitars... also another form of entertainment ("poor guy" "we do it because we love them" "what? torture them?" *giggles*).
I think my favourite part, which I'm sure the majority of the spectators will agree, was the Zombie-expressions we all gained in our quests to rockstardom... perhaps we need to relocate the Zombie Wall to the ShitHaus - it was looking pretty grim at times, hahaha.
Anyway, many thanks to Derek for letting us keep the game with us for a while! I know where we are going to be spending our next few nights.... speaking of which - Free Bird here I come!!!
Cheers,
StephLaw

Cheers,
StephLaw

Excal interview
So Whitney contacted me on Facebook (drink) to ask questions for her article on party houses for the Excalibur. She asked 9 questions and myself, B, Gordo, Flu and Travis sat around and discussed. This is what we sent in.
1. Why is your house a party house?
2. What do you do, if anything, to party proof your house?
3. Do you use any sort of system to control alcohol consumption?
4. What themes have you hosted?
5. What do you do to draw attention to your party?
6. Any tips for throwing a successful party?
7. Any serious problems?
8. Any funny anecdotes?
9. In your opinion, what are the three best themed parties you have ever attended?
1. our house has evolved out of the realm of home free, our old house along the ol' 106 bus route. the naming began with the feeling of the place... we spend our days waiting to walk in the door and proclaim "HOME FREE" as we had so many times in our childhood games. the 3 origional members then named sucessors to thier lair to join forces with thier friend and former college rezmate in another well known party house, and added a fifth amazing personality to became newhomefreeland, and have been rocking the party house ever since. the thing is, they dont really try to hard. with the five of us, its already a party, and when you add the numbers of part time residents, the place is always buzzing.
the abience is aethetically pleasing, including a zombie wall for apocalyptic emergencies, a hat wall for hat parties, art projects on all the walls, ceilings, doors and floors, (which by the way, is hot lava) soundproofed bathroom, and 5 very chill roomspaces including: a forest (tent included), a handpainted boho upstairs library redlight bedroom studio complete with wall poetry, and a doctors office.
entertainment is endless, with music that could play to the end of time, enough dj power to host the wickedest of dance parties, every nintendo system, movies, and all the drinking games to go with each. dont forget about the classics: chess, puzzles, and bottle cap fights that last hours.
basically, you put enough amazing people in one place, and its bound to be a good time, regardless of where you are. this place just happens to be where we live and everyone runs home free.

2. to party proof our house... id say we clean up. take out all the mcdonalds and pizza boxes to make room for people and maybe sweep and do some dishes if the beer hasnt arrived yet. - matt armour
nothing. occasionally drastic rearrangements of furniture for no reason. - brendan gilhuly
3. vomit usually works, just try to keep it outside or in the bathroom if there isnt a line. - matt
we too poor to afford enough alchohol to kill ourselvs with so chances are were fine - gord, part time resident with 3/4 vote.
if someone falls down the stairs theyre cut off. at least for an hour or two.
generaly though, and quite seriously, people should know thier limits and we usually have good group of people who watch out for each other and nothing gets too crazy. - matt
4. Vampire Party , Burlesqure Party, BYOTheme Party, 24 Party (Watching an entire Season of 24 with a few 2-4's), The Newhomefreeland move-in party... bender, Spelling Bee party, Mexico (Two 26ers of Tequila), Practice Edwards 40 Hands, Edward 40 Hands, NewYears2008 and the NewHomeFreeLand Scavenger Hunt Kegger, in which we had a list of tasks to be completed by the end of the night. Oh and kegs.
5. Tell people.
6. Keep the randoms out, make people feel comfortable
7. Cleaning up glass is always a good idea, its bound to happen. Trying to keep expensive things dry, with the flowing booze all around. Vomit.
8. Everything that happens, everyday, all the time.
Drop shots of vodka in everything... beer, wine, more vodka, gin, soup, a funnel.
Pre-drinking too much tequila, deciding we needed beer as well, stopping by two houses to predrink and then going to a party screaming Mexico - Sustained many injuries and dirtied a sink and a back alley before midnight (Sorry guys).
9. 1. Scavenger Hunt
2. Vampire Party
3. Underpants parties. Half the works already done!
--------------------------------------------------------------
So hopefully some of that will get published along with some crazy pics from the Kegger!!
Keep on rockin', yall

oh, so you went to a bar on Friday night?
yeah, well we stayed in...
I must be mental or something. Its currently 4:39ish and I just cracked my first beer. Yep, I feel human enough to poison it again... I think we are waiting for McDick's to open as the perfect way to start our tomorrow. 3 cases almost done, a couple hours clocked in on the interweb watching stupid videos (potato chips for the brain...) and something to do with a scrap with beer throwing between Armourtime and Aitch, and a burp-talking-drunk Travis and we are still impressing ourselves as to nothing can ever replace the stuff we do for spending too much money at a bar on Friday night... its cheaper, closer and I can be as ruly as I want!
Don't believe us? Check out the pics:

Cheers,

we propose a social activity
so
friday night we watched a crazy sci-fi/vampire russian movie that the good dr. finally found to pirate from the internets. we drank what is now two of three 2-4s that flu got because he had a shitty day at work. hooray for shitty days at work (in the words of armour time (ad libbed): "i'm glad your boss is a dick flu, otherwise we wouldn't have all this beer")!! then, travis finally beat sonic 2 and we rejoiced. ...... we came up with a new game after, and flicked beer caps at each other in the ultimate battle for about an hour.
and in that time span of our friday night, we decided that if it's this much fun to whip bottle caps at each other (even after more than one of us got hit in the face, eye, nuts, etc.*sidenote* and aitch wins for being the only one to get a cap down a shirt from across the room), at home, for free, we should move on to more violent endeavours (flu suggested guns next, but i don't think we're quite there yet, or we're not drunk enough.......let's see what happens at formal) and go play
PAINTBALL (because paint ball pellets kinda hurt when they come hurtling into your flesh out of the barrel of a gun)
shit haus vs. newhomefreeland (even though they're up one player from us, but i guess we could take gordon, because, like erin said: "i think my boyfriend spends more time with you than with me. and i'm okay with that." he pretty much counts as another member of the households, so that would make it even.)
so, when do you all want to play? because for those of you not around for the initial idea, you still fucking live here and that means you HAVE TO PLAY. so there. no whining.
when would all of us like to lose at least one eye??
Hmmm??

Don't let Winterites venture out on their own, especially when intoxicated...
I think I need a leash... or at least someone to hold my hand each time I go drinking by myself. You know, to tell me, "I think that's a bad idea" or, "don't put that in your mouth" or even, "okay StephLaw, I think its time to go home..." Granted my antics are pretty good entertainment, especially to those who don't really know me and are just visiting. I guess this is another tick on the wall for me and praying to god that I don't remember any more of what happened last night. But thanks to Shera for making me soup as I'm definitely less hungover as I type than if I went to bed starving. I was at least coherent enough to take out money for shopping today.
So cheers to beers, (oh yeah and vodka too...) today is going to be a long and interesting day I feel. First I've got to get the marching band to stop romping around on my brain...aaaaaahg. My meeting at 1:30pm with Ian and some York Admins. is going to test my skills to buck up and take it like a man. Oh construction woes and the tempting urge to puke - my favourite feeling!!! I'm apologizing in advance that all the decision making I'm doing today is going to be half-assed and I hope the communtiy space doesn't hinder because of it...
Cheers,
StephLaw
oh and ps. Sexual Eruptions is the freakin' devil....
pps. I love it....

Sweet Fuckin' Deal!
This thing is pretty cool. I think it's a great idea to have an online communal blog. Brings us all together and what not. I also like the fact that it's a private thing. Actually... is this a private thing? How many people know about this blog? I just want to know what and what not to post up here jus' in case the wrong people read it. Is it just the two houses and their tenants?
Will someone please let me know?
It's 10:08am on Thursday and by Friday and 11pm Imma be in FUCKIN CUBA BITCHES!
Loves ya,

The Rockstar: sex move stamped by Romfield resident
So yeah, I clearly live with the best roommates in the world.
Listen to this, I first heard about this a couple months back in my kitchen as Travis and I enjoyed breakfast together. I was drinking tea and Travis was hovering over the counter as we discussed a pretty usual topic: sex. Only recently has Travis become keen to the idea to letting his gem of a move out to the public and shared it to the rest of the Romfielders. Its brilliant really, let me explain it to you the way he did.
So you're doing doggy style with a girl and then you lift her up on your knees into a powerslide position and continue bouncing. Then you take your hands and play her like a guitar, strumming her clit and playing chords on her tit. Its called the Rockstar.
"Where did you learn this!?" Shera
"What mean learn, I made it up!" Travis
Yep, he made it all up himself. I wonder when he realized what he was doing... I wonder if the girl knew how Travis was making her really wail... haha. Travis is the little brother I never had, and its amazing. More Travis observations to come....
Cheers,
Steph
EDIT: new observation in the process of posting this post!
"There's gotta be something wrong with that" (hangs a can of Chef Boyardee Lasagna over a bowl commenting on the fact that it doesn't fall out of the can at all.) "Chef Boyardee may be packed with preservatives but its a delicious snack, and don't let people tell you otherwise!! Oh, yeah... I have toast!"

Sexual Seduction: The Sexy Back of 2008?
"Justin brought sexy back, but Snoop Dogg refined it!" - Dr.
"The song is sex to my ears." - S.Law
"I want chocolate mousse right now!" - S.Law
This is the tell-tale beginning of 2008! A new year and a new song to remix over and over and over an over and over again! Sexual Seduction, the new single from Mr. Dogg's forthcoming Ego Trippin', was released November 20th, the beginning of "Recap Season". The song flew under the radar for the next month appearing here and there, sitting there, waiting. But now, with a recently released remix by Weird Science, Sexual Eruption looks to be the remix song of 2008, and I fucking love it! Remixes will appear from every last corner of the world and babies will be made to every last one of them. Not only that the video is chocolate mousse, smooth, creamy and sweet to the eyes.
Enjoy the sex!
